What is TwitxMe

TwitxMe is my attempt creating a J2me Twitxr-client.

Requirements

TwitxMe should work on any CLDC-1.1 and MIDP-2.0 compatible device.

The Midlet needs to access the built in camera, record storage as well as some kind of internet connectivity (GPRS/UMTS/whatever).

Is TwitxMe open source?

Yes and no (not yet) ;) 

Please give me some time to clean up the code (before I do this your REALLY don't want to see it) and check if I am bound to any specific license by any code I used. (Have to check out the license of the MD5 code).

Where can I get it?

A testing version is available at http://dns.hayami-kishimoto.net/~fadenb/TwitxMe.jad / http://dns.hayami-kishimoto.net/~fadenb/TwitxMe.jar or can be requested via mail.

I do not know what settings to use!

Me neither ;) 

Take a look at the table below or try around. If you find working settings please let me know about them (and please include on which device you used them).

What is this "verifying location" thingy?

The Twitxr-Api offers the possibility to check whether the user supplied location is "valid". When TwitxMe is verifying the location it is querying the checkStringLocation api-function. If the location is accepted you can continue to the summary screen.

The photo in the reviewscreen is way to big

I know. I implemented a resizing feature but deactivated it because it took pretty long (12 minutes on my V3xx). Perhaps i will create a user option to reactivate it.

No GPS/Cellid support?

No, not yet. Cellid is difficult cause the device manufacturers limited the possibilities to access this information for unsigned midlets.

Where is your backup? / Not my fault! TwitxMe comes with absolutely no warranty of any kind!

New TwitxMe version released.

Bluetooth-GPS-support added (still experimental)

Fixed umlaut bug. Now messages do not break after using a non 7-bit ascii char!

Imagereview now resized to better fit on screen

Now it is possible to enter Bluetooth Device-Addresses containing characters a to f instead of just 0-9!
